Biography

The amazing actress Tessa Lynne Thompson was born on October 3, 1983, in Los Angeles, California, in the United States. She was raised by her parents Marc Anthony and her mother in Los Angeles before she moved to Brooklyn in New York. Tessa is of mixed ethnic origin, her father is of Afro-Panamanian descent while her mother is of Euro-Mexican descent and she holds American nationality. Thompson attended Santa Monica High School where she featured in numerous theatre productions of the school and after her graduation; she enrolled at Santa Monica College where she obtained a degree in cultural anthropology. After a while, she starred as Juliet in the drama from the famous William Shakespeare's book titled Romeo and Juliet, the drama show was held at Boston Court Theatre, Pasadena in California. Her impressive performance from the drama earned her NAACP Theatre nomination same year. Away from the Theatre stage, Tessa made her first television appearance in 2005 when she starred in the CBS series Cold Case: Affaires classées (2003), Talented just like her father Marc, Tessa Thompson's versatility extends to music, she is also a very talented musician, being a member of Electro Band she has produced many songs including the one used in the movie 'Dear White People.' Since her acting career began in 2002, her proficient, outstanding and amazing performance has made her famous in the American film industry. Tessa has played remarkable roles in popular reality TV series and movies including Meurtre au 14ème étage (2012) in 2012, Dancing Girls (2008) in 2008, Red & Blue Marbles (2011) in 2011, Selma (2014) in 2014, Creed: The Rocky Legacy (2015) in 2015, War on Everyone (2016) in 2016, and Thor: Ragnarok (2017) in 2017, just to mention a few.
